Semi Permanent Makeup

OMBRE BROWS

Ombré brows is permanent makeup technique that is taking the cosmetic industry by storm. It uses a digital machine to create extremely small dots of pigment into the skin creating a stunning soft-shaded brow pencil look.

This treatment is perfect for beauty lovers who are tired of leaning into the mirror every morning to precisely fill in their brows. With ombre brows you can just get up and go, cutting short your timely morning makeup routine.

Once healed, ombré brows are very low maintenance and last from one to three years dependant on skin type and lifestyle.

  • This treatment works best for individuals with oily / combination skin types. It is also best for individuals who prefer a bolder makeup look for their brows.

  • Your brows will typically last 1-3 years dependant on lifestyle and skin type. It is important that you follow the aftercare advice as well for optimum results!

  • Your brows will take around 2 weeks to fully heal.

  • For the first 2 days, every three hours, please wipe your eyebrows area very well with an anti-septic (Chlorhexidine) or baby wipes. After this, please apply a very thin layer of the given ointment on the eyebrows.

Two days after the procedure, only use the given ointment 3-4 times a day for five days – you can apply it on your eyebrows by using a Q-tip (very thin layer of the ointment)

Please avoid scratching or touching the eyebrows area.

Avoid all creams and foundation in and around the eyebrow area.

Avoid workouts or anything that involves excess sweating for the first 7 days.

Avoid saunas, facial massages and steaming for two weeks.

Avoid all UV including sunbathing and sunbeds. Wear a wide brimmed hat if going outside in the sun.

No facials such as chemical peels, light therapies or any creams containing regeneration factors for two weeks.

No laser treatments for two weeks.

Please note that taking antibiotics or hormonal therapy can result in the pigment fading faster.

MICROBLADED BROWS

Microblading is a method of semi-permanent makeup where a fine blade is used to deposit pigment into the outer layers of the skin, also known as the epidermis. As the pigment strokes are closer to the surface, the strokes appear crisp and fine, and do not blur after healing.

The main difference between microblading and traditional machine permanent makeup is that microblading is not done by a machine, but a sterile handheld tool. Instead of depositing pixels of pigment into the skin, a blade is used to gently create a fine cut to insert pigment in to.

Typically microblading requires two appointments to achieve the final desired results and the healing process takes roughly around 30 days.

  • This treatment is best for individuals with dry skin and lasts a lot longer than for individuals with oily or combination skin. This treatment is also best for individuals who like a more natural looking hairstroke brow.

  • Microblading typically lasts for 12-16 months although touch ups are required to keep the pigment looking fresh.

  • Your brows will take 30 days to fully heal.

  • You can bathe normally but avoid getting any soaps, shampoos or water on them.

Do not pick or scratch at the dry flakes - let them fall off naturally. Picking can cause loss of pigment.

Do not apply makeup to the area for the first 10 days.

Do not apply any creams to the treated area.

Do not exercise or engage in any high intensive activities.

No sun exposure, swimming pools, jacuzzis or saunas for two weeks.

LIP BLUSH

Lip blush is a semi-permanent makeup treatment in which pixels of pigment are deposited into your lips to not only give them a natural looking glossed look, but also to define the shape of the lips.

Everyone has different preferences and different lip shapes so there is no one standard on how this treatment is carried out. On the day of your appointment we will carry out a consultation to ensure that we can obtain the desired colour you'd like.

  • This treatment is best for individuals looking to speed up their morning routine with beautifully blushed lips! It's also a great treatment if your lips lack general shape and have a blurry border. Lip blush can help accentuate your lip border and improve their shape and symmetry.

  • Lip blush can last anywhere from 12-18 months but this is dependant on a few factors such as aftercare and lifestyle. If you drink alcohol, smoke or spend a lot of time in the sun or on sunbeds then you may find that your lips will fade quicker.

  • Your lips will be fully healed around 5 weeks which is when we will call you back for your top-up treatment.

  • For the first 2 days, disposable cold packs can be applied to reduce any swelling. You may also lightly pat the lips with sterile water only.

For the next 10 days you must:

    • Apply healing balm regularly using a cotton bud and wash your hands before applying in order to prevent any cross contamination happening.

    • Do not splash wash your face. You can clean the treated area twice a day with a damp cotton pad.

    • No makeup should be applied to the treated area for 5 days minimum.

    • Avoid eating spicy and salty foods and drink through a straw for 3 days minimum.

    • No kissing for 5 days to avoid infection.

    • No skincare treatments for 5 days post treatment.

    • Like flaking may begin around the 3-5 day mark. It is essential not to pick, peel or rub as this may lead to uneven colour.

In general, you must always apply a good sunscreen as sun exposure will fade the treatment.

    Keep your lips hydrated!

DARK LIPS NEUTRALISATION

Lip neutralisation uses a similar technique to lip blush but is performed to neutralise darker toned lips. This is done by adding warmer toned pigments to the lips to counterbalance the natural cool tones. Once healed, the warm tones neutralise to give the lips a natural pink look.

This treatment is best for individuals with darker skin tones who have cooler pigmented lips. Results will vary from person to person and often 2-3 sessions will be required to achieve the desired results.

  • This treatment is best for individuals with darker skin tones who have dark, cool toned lips and desire a lighter, warmer lip colour.

  • Lip neutralisation can last anywhere from 12-18 months but this is dependant on a few factors such as aftercare and lifestyle. If you drink alcohol, smoke or spend a lot of time in the sun or on sunbeds then you may find that your lips will fade quicker.

  • Your lips will be fully healed around 5 weeks which is when we will call you back for your top-up treatment.

In general, you must always apply a good sunscreen as sun exposure will fade the treatment.

    Keep your lips hydrated!

COMBINATION BROWS

As the name suggests, combination brows combines both the microblading and ombré brows technique. This creates a fluffy hairstroke look to the front of the brow following through to a more defined, sharp arch and tail.

Combination brows usually take two appointments to complete. In the following appointment we ensure that all the strokes are evenly saturated with pigment and this appointment is usually arranged 6-8 week after your intial appointment.

We recommend having a yearly touchup with combination brows in order to maintain the crispness and freshness of the colour.

  • This treatment works best on individuals with normal to moderately oily skin. If your skin is too oily for microblading alone then this would be a great alternative for you. It is also great for individuals with sparse eyebrows as the shading can give the brow more body whilst the hairstrokes help maintain the natural look/

  • Your brows will typically last 1-3 years dependant on lifestyle and skin type. It is important that you follow the aftercare advice as well for optimum results! Also ensure you attend your annual touch up sessions.

  • Your brows will take around 2 weeks to fully heal.
